
Boarding Cancellation Policy

Our new cancellation policy went into effect as of 7/6/24

We will be require a 100% non-refundable deposit for all holiday boarding. If you book anything that falls over a holiday / holiday weekend where the pricing is adjusted, this is considered a holiday boarding reservations. Holidays include New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas. We will be CLOSED for drop offs and pick ups on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. Our cancellation window for holidays will be 72 hours. If you cancel within the window of 72 hours prior to drop off, you will forfeit your 100% deposit for the stay. If you book daycare the week of a holiday, we will require a 72 hour notice for that as well, if you cancel within the window of 72 hours you will be charged for the reservation of daycare that you booked. We will no longer be allowing new boarding clients over holiday weekends, all kennels will be saved for our current clients that have stayed with us before with no issues.

Regular boarding will still require a 50% non-refundable deposit, boarding on date that do not overlap a holiday require a 24 hour notice for cancellations. If you cancel within the 24 hours, you will forfeit the deposit. Giving enough notice will credit your account, but we do not do refunds. No Shows for daycare will also be charged the booking reservation. We do require a 24 hour notice for cancelling daycare as well, if you cancel within the 24 hours, you will be charged what you booked unless your dog is ill. If your dog is exhibiting symptoms of sickness, please keep them home.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us by sticking to our policies and following our routine. We allow boarding drop offs and pick ups during the week now 7-11am and 3-7pm, weekends and holidays remain 8-10am and 4-6pm. Drop Offs or Pick Ups outside of this window will be charged a fee of $25 per dog. We will not be accepting brand new dogs over holidays so all trial nights need to be completed prior to booking those dates.

Puckett’s Pups Dog Boarding and Doggy Daycare Policies and Release of Liability
THIS AGREEMENT is entered into by and between Puckett’s Pups LLC,
dog owner (Owner)_________________________ & Dog(s) name(s)________________________
1) I (Owner) represent that I am the legal owner of the above named dog(s) and I assume all risks, dangers, and responsibility for injuries to the named dog(s). Owner understands and agrees that Owner is solely responsible for any harm while Owner’s dog(s) is/are attending Daycare / Boarding. Owner is also responsible for any harm that their own dog(s) causes to any dog(s) in the facility, daycare or boarding. Owner is responsible for all costs and reparations that result from the actions of their dog(s).
2) PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE: We love to post pictures & videos on Facebook, our website, and/or in ads. Owner agrees to allow Puckett’s Pups to use Owner’s pet’s name & any images or likeness of Owner’s pet taken while he/she is at Puckett’s Pups, in any form, for use at any time, in any media, marketing, advertising, illustration, trade or promotional materials without compensation, & Owner releases to Puckett’s Pups all rights that Owner may possess or claim to such image, likeness, recording, etc.
3) DOG’S HEALTH: Owner further understands and agrees that Owner’s dog(s) are healthy and will, at all times while attending Puckett’s Pups, have current vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella & we highly recommend Canine Influenza for daycare clients). Owner is not enrolling any dog that has any condition that could potentially jeopardize the health of other dogs or people and has not had any potentially communicable condition within 30 days prior to enrollment. Owner further understands that even if Owner(s) dog is vaccinated for Bordetella (Kennel Cough), or any other transmittable ailments, there is a chance that the Owner’s dog can still contract Kennel Cough or any other ailments. Owner agrees that Owner will not hold Puckett’s Pups responsible if Owner’s dog(s) contracts Kennel Cough or other dog-dog transmitted ailments. If your dog is overdue on vaccines by more than 2 weeks - we require that the dog has a 7 day buffer between the date of the new vaccine and coming to our facility, there will be no exceptions to this rule.
4) FLEA/TICK FREE: All dogs must be flea/tick free. Should a dog be observed to have fleas or ticks, the dog will be separated and will need to be picked up immediately & treated. The dog will not be allowed back until two weeks after their treatment & has been put on monthly Flea/Tick prevention with proof.
5) GROUP PLAY: All dogs must pass a general behavior assessment in order to attend dog-dog group play. No dog may be admitted to group play who shows any signs of any type of aggression. Owner further understands and agrees that in admitting Owner’s dog(s) to dog-dog group play, Owner is representing to Puckett’s Pups that Owner’s dog(s) is/are in good health and have not harmed, shown aggression, or exhibited any threatening behavior towards any person or other dogs. Any dog demonstrating aggression or other behavior deemed unacceptable by Puckett’s Pups staff may be required to leave daycare/boarding. If the owner's dog(s) is the cause or aggressor of any injury or fight, the Owner must pick up their dog(s) and the Owner is responsible for any vet costs that may arise from such a situation as long as precautions and protocols are followed by the staff. All dogs over the age of 9 months old must be spayed or neutered to join playgroup, no exceptions.
6) RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Owner understands and agrees that during normal dog play, Owner’s dog may sustain injuries. Dog play is monitored by Puckett’s Pups staff to best avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, and other injuries may occur despite the best supervision. Owner further understands and agrees that neither Puckett’s Pups daycare/boarding nor any of its employees, staff, or volunteers will be liable for any illness, injury, death, and/or escape of Owner’s dog(s) provided that reasonable care and precautions are followed, and Owner hereby releases Puckett’s Pups staff or volunteers of any liability of any kind whatsoever arising from or as a result of Owner’s dog(s) attending Puckett’s Pups.
7) PERSONAL PROPERTY: Owner understands that Owner is solely responsible for any harm, including to any other pet(s), to the employees or invitees of Puckett’s Pups, or to the equipment, facilities, or other property of Puckett’s Pups, caused by Owners dog(s). Owner also agrees that Puckett’s Pups shall not be responsible or liable for any lost or damaged personal property belonging either to Owner or Owner’s pet. In the event Owner’s dog(s) destroys any of Puckett’s Pup's Property, the Owner must compensate Puckett’s Pups for the losses caused by the Owner’s dog(s). The amount due to cover any damages will be added to the pick up total.
8) FOOD/MEDS when boarding overnight, Owner agrees that it is the Owner’s responsibility to leave an adequate supply of food and medications for Owner’s dog(s) during the entire time Owner’s dog is cared for by Puckett’s Pups. Should the food/medication supply need replacement, Owner authorizes Puckett’s Pups to purchase replacement and Owner will reimburse Puckett’s Pups for the actual food and medication costs plus $10 for the shortage occurrence to cover travel costs. If your dog(s) are not eating much, we will supply soft food for $2 per can during the stay, which will be added to the pick up total at the end of the stay. Larger tubs of soft food are $5 per container, we use Beneful as our soft food.
9) VETERINARIAN LIABILITY AND CARE: Owner agrees to Puckett’s Pups to obtain medical treatment for Owner’s dog(s) if he/she appears ill, injured, or exhibits any other behavior that would reasonably suggest that dog(s) may need medical treatment including anesthesia. Owner agrees to be fully responsible for the cost of any such medical treatment & for the cost of any transportation such treatment. Owner gives permission to Puckett’s Pups to use Owner’s vet or nearest 24-hour vet hospital for required treatment. Bill of visit will be paid to Puckett’s Pups after the dog is released.
10) WEAKENED IMMUNE SYSTEM: Owners understand that special-needs dogs, young puppies, and senior dogs naturally have a higher risk of injury, stress-related illnesses, weakened immune system, or exacerbation of any pre-existing condition. As such, by using our facility for daycare or boarding the Owner is waiving any claim for injury or illness experienced by the Owner's dog while in our care.
11) ELDERLY DOGS: Owners of elderly dogs (approaching the end of life) need to know if in the event the Owner’s dog passes while in our care, our policy is to transport the Owner’s dog to Owner’s vet (within 15 miles) where he/she will be held until Owner can be reached by the Vet for further instructions. If Owner’s vet is closed or outside of our transport distance, then we will transport to the nearest 24-hour facility. Any dogs over the age of 10 must sign a Rainbow Protocol waiver form as well as the general policies form.
12) PREPAID PACKAGES: Owner understands that prepaid daycare packages are nonrefundable & expire 6 months from date of purchase. Discounted packages are provided only if they are paid for in advance.
13) PAYMENTS are due and payable at the end of each visit (Boarding 50% non-refundable deposits must be made at the time of reservation). Payment may be made in American currency, Visa, Discover, or Mastercard. $25 NSF charge for returned checks. We do not accept Canadian credit cards. We do keep credit card information on file. All checks can be made out to Puckett’s Pups. All Credit Card Payments will be charged a 3.5% surcharge fee. If you book on Paw Partner, you will be charged the 50% deposit automatically if you have stayed with us before. Do not book if you do not want to pay yet. For new clients, we are able to send invoices via email where you can save your card on file that way as well. ALL HOLIDAY BOARDING will require a 100% non-refundable deposit for the stay. We require a 72 hour notice for all holiday cancellations in order to credit your account. This goes into effect as of 7/6/2024 - all boarding is not confirmed until the deposit is paid in full. Daycare the week of a holiday will also require a 72 hour notice for cancellations - if you cancel within the window or NO SHOW you will be charged for the reservation you booked. We will not be accepting brand new clients over the holidays so please make sure your trial nights are completed prior to joining us for the holidays.
14) CANCELLATION / NO-SHOW POLICY: Our new cancellation policy goes into effect 7/6/24. We will be requiring a 72 hour notice for all holiday boarding & daycare. If you NO SHOW, you will pay the full amount of the stay or the day of daycare. If you cancel within the window, you will forfeit your deposit, for holidays we will be requiring a 100% non-refundable deposit. Our regular boarding will still require a 50% deposit with a 24 hour cancellation window.
15) FEES : We have boarding hours from 8-10am and 4-6pm daily, if you drop off or pick up outside of these hours you will be charged an out of hours fee of $25 PER DOG. We close at 6pm for daycare, if you are late to get your dog, it will be $1 per minute that you are late after 6pm. If you are boarding and book a stay with a PM pick up but come in the morning, you will still be charged the half day fee since you reserved that spot for the whole day for your dog(s). Do not book days that you will not be using. We are full most of the summer and have a limited amount of daycare spots and kennels. Hours during the week are now 7-11am and 3-7pm, holidays will remain 8-10 and 4-6!
17) RIGHT OF REFUSAL: Puckett’s Pups reserves the right to refuse admittance to any dog or dismiss any dog that does not meet or maintain the health, temperament or other daycare/boarding standards. The determination shall be made at the sole discretion of Puckett’s Pups, including the owner and its staff.
18) FULL FORCE AND EFFECT: Owner further understands and expressly agrees that each and every of the foregoing provisions contained in paragraphs 1-18 shall be in force and effect and shall apply to each and every occasion on which Owner’s dog(s) stays with Puckett’s Pups for daycare, extended boarding, or other services, as the case may be. This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect as between the parties until and unless otherwise canceled or superseded by a writing signed by the parties. Owner hereby certifies that Owner has read and understands this Waiver and Release of Liability and the regulations set forth above. By signing this agreement, Owner agrees to be bound by its terms and conditions.
