Fall Fun, Facility Updates & What’s Coming Next! 🍂

October has been a busy month here at Puckett’s Pups! Between our annual shutdown, continuing our expansion, getting everything ready for the colder months, and welcoming all our furry friends back, we’ve had plenty going on behind the scenes.

We’re officially settling into our slower season, and we’re excited for everything coming up!

🏗️ Expansion Updates

Our new unit and lobby are getting closer and closer to being finished!

Over our annual shutdown, we tackled cleaning, painting, organizing, maintenance, and plenty of projects that have been on our to-do list for months. Our new fencing and additional kennels are also part of making the facility safer, more functional, and more comfortable for our guests.

We’re working through the final steps of the expansion, including finishing the walls, connecting the units, and completing the necessary inspections.

It’s been an exhausting and expensive process, but we cannot wait to see everything come together!

🐾 What’s New Around the Facility?

We’ve been making some upgrades around the building to keep our pups comfortable and our spaces looking fresh!

New Playroom Cots: Our original cots lasted us nearly five years, so it was finally time for an upgrade! We’ve added bright orange cots to our playroom and new blue cots for our naptime kennels.

Freshened-Up Spaces: Our annual shutdown gave us the opportunity to tackle deep cleaning, painting, reorganizing, and refreshing some of our most-used areas.

Fall Grooming Extras: Fall bandanas and pumpkin spice cologne are back! We’re loving all the freshly bathed pups heading home smelling like fall.

More Room for Our Pups: With our expansion underway, we’re looking forward to additional space for rest, enrichment, and all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our facility running smoothly.

🦃 Holiday Boarding Is Filling Up!

Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before we know it!

Our holiday boarding reservations are already starting to fill, so we strongly encourage families to book ahead.

As a reminder, holiday boarding is available to existing boarding clients who have successfully completed a trial night.

Holiday reservations require a 50% deposit. Please review our holiday booking and cancellation policies before reserving.

🐕 Daycare During the Off-Season

With summer behind us, we’re looking forward to more availability for daycare playdates!

Whether your pup comes once a week or practically lives here, daycare is a great way to keep them active, socialized, and entertained as the weather changes.

Our Small Dog Social continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays for pups 30 pounds and under.

We also encourage families to stay mindful of coughing, sneezing, or other signs of illness. Please keep symptomatic dogs home to help us protect everyone in our care.

🗓️ Upcoming Closures & Reminders

November 6th: Closed while we attend the daycare and boarding convention in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

🏆 Thank You for Another Amazing Year!

We are incredibly grateful to have been voted a Firelands Best of the Best winner for the second year in a row, and to have been a finalist for five years!

What started as a passion for dogs has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. None of this would be possible without our amazing staff, loyal families, supportive community, and of course, the dogs who make every day worth it.

Thank you for continuing to trust us with your best friends, supporting our growth, and cheering us on through every new chapter.

With love,

The Puckett’s Pups Team 🐾

Your dog’s home away from home.
